Overview: Initiated in 2019, Advocacy Initiative for Youth Development empowers marginalized youth in Kakuma Refugee and Kalobeyei Settlement Camp through digital and soft skills training, aiming for self-sufficiency and community development.

Summary

Genesis:

Born out of necessity in 2019, the Advocacy Initiative for Youth Development was established to address the critical need for skill development and empowerment among the marginalized youth in Kakuma Refugee and Kalobeyei Settlement Camp.

Growth:

Over the years, the initiative has blossomed, touching the lives of over 2100 youth, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and personal growth. It expanded its reach, offering a diverse range of programs including digital skills, street business, and patisserie training.

Milestones:

2019: Initiative inception, focusing on digital and soft skills.
2100+ Youth Impacted: A significant number of beneficiaries gained essential skills leading to job placements and entrepreneurship.

Origin: From Kinshasa, DR Congo, Ebengo Honore Alfani, armed with a Bachelor's in International Relations and diverse professional certifications, is the passionate seed from which grew the Advocacy Initiative for Youth Development in Kakuma refugee camp.

Visionary Leadership: Honore, a beacon of hope in Kakuma, embodies visionary leadership, transforming lives through AdIYD2, and forging a path of empowerment and development for the youth.

Commitment: Dedicated to humanitarian excellence, Honore invests in continuous growth and learning, with a rich portfolio of training, including Security Critical for Infrastructure Protection and Street Business Management.
